Carnegie Medal-winning Tanya Landman is the author of more than thirty books for children and young adults.

Born and brought up in Kent, Landman had no intention of becoming a writer until the idea for Waking Merlin popped into her head. She later turned to writing crime, including Mondays are Murder (winner of a Red House Book Award) and Sam Swann’s Movie Mysteries. Her other novels include Apache, The Goldsmith’s Daughter and Buffalo Soldier.

Her latest novel is Hell and High Water. Her forthcoming novel, Beyond the Wall, will be published in April 2017.

Landman now lives and works in Bideford and the nearby coastline was the inspiration for her Flotsam & Jetsam series.
