Dar Al Adaab – The House of Literature
Dar Al Adaab (The House of Literature) is the year-round home of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature in the Al Shindagha Historical Neighbourhood, Dubai.

Dar Al Adaab is the home of the Festival’s Office and year-round venue in the historic heart of Dubai, minutes away from the souks, museums and the Dubai Creek.

Dar Al Adaab is in the Al Shindagha Historical Neighbourhood in Bur Dubai – right next to the Creek, souk and Al Ghubaiba Bus Station. Paid car parking is available in Al Shindagha no more than two or three minutes’ walk from Dar Al Adaab and the Dubai International Writers’ Centre. GPS coordinates 25.266825,55.288510.
By Metro
Dubai Metro is the best way to reach Dar Al Adaab – Al Ghubaiba Station, on the Green Line, emerges directly into the Historical Neighbourhood. Take Exit 3 for the shortest walk to Dar Al Adaab/Dubai International Writers’ Centre: you will find yourself in a large plaza. Walk towards the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature sign – you will then reach our back courtyard. Follow the alleyway and the first door on your left will be for Dar Al Adaab.
By Bus
Al Ghubaiba Bus Station is five minutes’ walk from Dar Al Adaab and many bus routes from Dubai and the other Emirates stop here. Cross the road toward the Metro station and head for the traditional buildings, then follow the instructions above for coming from the Metro station.
