Ali Khan first started writing whilst living in Damascus, Syria, in 2009-2010. He spent many a weekday evening at the infamous Bait Al Qaseed (house of poetry). He currently finds outlets for spoken verse and readings through Dubai’s many artistic societies, such as the Poeticians.
An Arabic speaker, of English origin, with Indian and Pakistani roots, Ali has seen Dubai grow throughout his life. He was recently involved in the setup of the Wasla Music Festival in January 2017.
The unstructured, raw human elements that transpire injustices of love and war continue to inform his writing, acting and music, whilst he moonlights in the justice industry.
