Hany Torky is currently the Chief Technical Advisor of the Arab Knowledge Project (AKP) which is one of the very few credible initiatives on ‘knowledge’ and ‘development’ in the Arab region. He has around 20 years of experience in the areas of Statistics and Knowledge for Development.
He has led surveys on samples of over 5,000 students around the Arab world for the Arab Knowledge Report. He has also overseen the organization of workshops at the UNESCO headquarters, the University of Oxford and the United Nations Headquarters.
Torky holds a PhD in Applied Statistics from Alexandria University.
