Ibtihaj Mohammed Al Harthi works predominantly in the digital medium but enjoys oil paintings and watercolour drawings. She graduated from the Academy of Art University with an MFA in Illustration, majoring in children’s book illustrations. Her thesis focused on fairy tales using the graphic novel format and traditional Omani folktales.
She has published five books including Ghusson, the Gazelle’s Sister, Mah and Me, winner of the 2015 Etisalat Prize for ‘Best Text’, and The Boy and the Sea.
She is a member at the Omani Society for Fine Arts (OSFA) and the Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
She lives and works in Muscat.
