Victoria Lustbader worked as an editor of science fiction and fantasy, first at Harper & Row, then at Putnam/ Berkley. Following her marriage to bestselling author Eric Van Lustbader, she continued in the publishing business as a freelance editor before becoming an environmentalist.
In 2001, Lustbader made the tumultuous decision to become a writer herself. Her first novel was Hidden, followed by Stone Creek and Approaching the Speed of Light.
She is currently at work on her fourth novel, Secondhand Smoke, about the unintended repercussions of family secrets.
Lustbader and her husband divide their time between NYC and the east end of Long Island.
